Being foodies ourselves our ethos is simple: genuine quality food for everyone, well presented, and served with a smile.
We source our food from a combination of small French food producers to capture the flavour of real French home cooking, as well as sourcing from local food suppliers here in the UK.
Our set-ups are colourful and welcoming; they are hand-built and designed to capture the ambience of a real French street market.
Customer service is at the core of what we do; we love interacting with people, getting to know our regulars, getting feedback on some of our favourite dishes as well as our newer recipes.
Our focus is making sure customers are getting the best possible experience in the way they are treated and the food they are served.
Come rain or shine, from early morning barista coffees and breakfast crepes, to a late night bowl of Tartiflette, La Grande Bouffe is there to make the customer experience a positive one.
Our story starts
in the artisan street food markets at the top of the mountains in the Haute Savoie in France - home of Tartiflette. This is where we started cooking Tartiflette. We loved the food so much we decided to bring it to London!
We set up shop in Camden Market
and before long we had created a loyal following of die hard “Grande-Bouffers”. One weekend we were spotted by the then managers of the Big Chill Festival (now owners of The Green Man) who offered us the opportunity to cater at The Big Chill.
We jumped at the chance
even though we knew absolutely nothing about event catering. The rest, as they say, is history.
Many festivals and many portions of Tartiflette later
we now trade at some of the UK’s premier festivals. A big thank you to all of you for your support over the years! It’s an amazing journey.
Sustainability is very important to us
We are constantly rethinking how we can minimise our impact on the environment.
We try to reduce our food waste to a minimum; we use water responsibly; we limit use of plastic in our operation and recycle as much as we can.
All of our packaging is biodegradable.
Since we started La Grande Bouffe we have aimed at leaving no trace!
